HTML-Optimizer speeds up your web site by optimizing both HTML and script code of your web pages.
In particular, it specializes in optimizing JPEG and PNG images so that pictures load quicker. HTML-Optimizer never touches your originals, however - it creates a duplicate site folder for the optimized files leaving your original files untouched.
HTML-Optimizer features Smart Handling which, intelligently, automatically detects when you've edited or changed a page on your site and then optimizes the files appropriately. It also supports XML and handles any web page with just about any text encoding. Previously, HTML-Optimizer had a rather awkward and ugly Windows-inspired interface but it has been improved in recent versions to complement OS X much better.
You may not think HTML Optimizer can speed things up in an era of broadband and fiber optic connections, but it can certainly make a difference to page load times.
